Intramural Sports and Club Sports

Coming to college is definitely fun and what makes it even more fun would be all the opportunities that they offer for students. A big one for me in my college time so far over the course of my three years would be the various sport options. I have had the option to play club basketball and club soccer as well as various intramural sports. I am now even the president of Club Basketball here at AU and have been since I was a sophomore. Club sports and intramural are different from the other. For example, our club sports team practice twice a week and we even schedule games with other colleges across Ohio and sometimes other states. We are a very active group of guys who love to play the sport. Intramurals however typically stay in Ashland and are ran by the Rec Center managers. Student of Ashland who are not on a sports team can create teams and play with their friends. Ashland offers a large variety of intramurals so every one can play. They have spikeball tournaments, volleyball, basketball, flag football, floor hockey, soccer, etc. There are so many different types of intramurals that they have. I think both of these are extremely fun and a good way to make good memories when it comes to playing sports with your friends. Plus going out and playing a sport to get your mind off of studying or getting some of that stress out is perfect. It is a great way to get some exercise and have fun.
